Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of provinces and cities in the North Central and Central Coast regions. On the Quang Nam side, there was Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.

At the working session, the delegation listened to representatives of leaders of localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions report on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the socio -economic development strategy for the period 2021 - 2030, and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term in the province and the whole region.

The Provincial and Municipal Party Secretaries of localities in the region have proposed many important issues affecting the socio-economic development of the region in the past as well as in the coming period.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the advantage for localities in the upcoming congress is that the general planning at the provincial/municipal level has been approved by the Prime Minister, determining the development orientation of provinces and cities in the region.

However, the problem is mobilizing resources to concretize programs and project goals, especially large projects, large programs, and large plans.

Therefore, in order for localities to have more resources to concretize provincial planning, it is hoped that the Central Government will study more specific mechanisms and policies, especially socialization policies, to invest in large infrastructure projects.

"For example, in Quang Nam, from now until 2030, to concretize the provincial planning, it will need 630 trillion VND, while the total public investment resources in the next 5 years will only be about 60 trillion VND at most. Therefore, resources from socialization are extremely important," said comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.

The Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee also proposed that there should be a suitable mechanism for provinces with many natural and cultural heritages to exploit cultural resources and relics, combining green economy and relic conservation. Central resources should be invested, including financial resources and international experts, for the conservation and restoration of relics.

At the same time, it is necessary to soon have a mechanism to guide forest protection management and forest economic development, so that people can truly live off the forest and develop the economy under the forest canopy.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the opinions of the localities and suggested that the provinces and cities in the region continue to strongly promote their own strengths, promote socio-economic development towards improving efficiency, quality and sustainability.

The focus is on promoting FDI attraction, continuing to invest, upgrading economic and social infrastructure, promoting innovation... Regarding economic structure, in addition to focusing on industries that represent the trend of the times, it is necessary to pay attention to developing according to a harmonious natural economic model, an independent, autonomous economy, a knowledge-based economy, a creative economy based on promoting natural values ​​and heritage values.
