Quang Hai, Van Hau and Do Kim Phuc give 1,000 footballs to Vietnamese children

Do Kim Phuc's project "1,000 balls for children" is enthusiastically supported.

Last September, Do Kim Phuc and his team began a trip across Vietnam to bring footballs to children across the country. During the 20 days of implementing the project “1,000 Footballs for Children”, Do Kim Phuc and his colleagues traveled through 20 provinces and cities along the S-shaped strip of land, from the North to Ca Mau .

There were places where the project visited, the travel distance became more difficult due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi , but this could not hinder the group's journey. Recalling the memories of the special journey, Do Kim Phuc shared: "After going through winding roads, traveling to places without electricity, without phone signal, Phuc realized that there are still many places in Vietnam that are really difficult. Phuc and the team also had to discuss and find solutions many times, not only the balls, but also milk cartons, toys and other items to give to the children. Seeing the happy smiles of the children when holding the new balls in their hands, Phuc felt very emotional. That is the motivation for Phuc and the team to try harder every day."

1,000 balls is the gift that Do Kim Phuc called for contributions to the Sports Wish Fund on social networking platforms and was responded to by his friends, including Golden Ball winner Ngoc Cham, players Quang Hai, Van Lam, Van Hau, Tuan Hai, co-pilot Ha Coi, Tiktoker Le Bong, Rapper Hoang,...

In Tuyen Quang - a province heavily affected by Typhoon Yagi, in addition to donating balls, Do Kim Phuc's team also made improved meals for children and joined hands to repair two broken bridges so that people could move more easily through sections of still-fast-flowing water.

The project “1,000 balls for you” was founded by Do Kim Phuc – a content creator with nearly 9 million followers on social media platforms. Over the past 10 years, Do Kim Phuc has had the opportunity to participate in many major sporting events around the world. In 2023, he was honored to receive TikTok’s “Best of Sports” award for the best content creator in the sports field.

Do Kim Phuc always wants to spread the love and passion for football to children across Vietnam, so he and his colleagues have organized highland football tournaments in Tuyen Quang, Son La... In addition, Do Kim Phuc has collaborated with the project "Sowing Football Dreams" to organize a journey to bring 22 children from Ha Giang to Hanoi and meet famous players from the Hanoi Police Club. Here, 22 children had the opportunity to become mascots holding hands with the players on the field in the match between the Hanoi Police Club and Song Lam Nghe An.
