Mr. Ha Van Sieu said that Australia is a traditional and leading important market for Vietnamese tourism. In 2023, Vietnamese tourism will welcome more than 390,000 Australian tourists, reaching a recovery rate of 103% compared to the pre-pandemic period, among the top 10 largest markets sending tourists to Vietnam.

In the first 7 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed more than 281 thousand Australian visitors, an increase of 127% over the same period in 2023. Recently, tourism between the two countries has had many cooperation activities, creating favorable conditions for information exchange.
