This morning (September 4), the online platform Google Arts & Culture officially launched a special exhibition for Vietnam called “Vibrant Vietnam” to honor and promote the image of a vibrant, attractive, and colorful Vietnam through a picture of culture, people, and biodiversity.

Promoting Vietnamese beauty globally using digital platforms

“Vibrant Vietnam” is one of Google’s next efforts to honor and promote the emotional natural landscape, rich cultural heritage, and diversity of the Vietnamese ethnic community to a global audience. It can be said that this latest initiative has continued Google’s long-term commitment to supporting and accompanying the Vietnamese tourism industry to introduce wonderful landscapes, majestic natural wonders, and unique indigenous cultures to international friends after the success of previous projects, including: “Google Arts and Culture: Wonders of Vietnam” (2021); Google Adventure Vietnam; “Vietnam: Go to Love!” campaign on YouTube platform. “At Google Arts & Culture, we always want to make world culture accessible and attractive to everyone. “Vibrant Vietnam” is a prime example of how technology can bridge cultures, bringing Vietnam’s rich heritage and stunning landscapes to a global audience,” said a representative of Google Arts & Culture. In collaboration with prestigious organizations such as iSEE, the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, the Precious Heritage Art Museum, the Sherman Center for Culture and Ideas, and the Bat Trang Ceramic Museum, “Vibrant Vietnam” offers an engaging online journey of discovery about the land and people of Vietnam.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Hoa, Director of the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) said: “We appreciate Google's initiatives to support the promotion of Vietnam's beauty globally through digital platforms. In particular, Google Arts & Culture is considered a digital museum that preserves and promotes the quintessence of human culture, art, and tourism.” Mr. Hoang Quoc Hoa emphasized that the "Vibrant Vietnam" project once again affirms Vietnam's diverse and rich potential in culture, natural landscapes, and friendly and hospitable people. In particular, initiatives like this project are in line with the current strategic orientation of Vietnam's tourism industry, which is to promote the application of technology in promoting and enhancing the marketing of Vietnam's tourism image and brand on digital platforms.

Colorful experiences

With 31 online exhibitions displaying 429 unique images and 15 videos, “Vibrant Vietnam” brings to the public a vivid picture of Vietnam’s rich culture, breathtaking landscapes and diverse ethnic communities. Accordingly, viewers can embark on an online tour with five main themes and a lot of interesting and useful information. With the theme of the geography of ethnic groups, viewers will explore the unique distribution of diverse ethnic communities in Vietnam through Biodiversity and Ethnic Groups.

With the theme Heritage and Community, viewers will learn about the unique cultures of Vietnamese communities with Discovering 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. The theme Sustainability of local values is traditional customs and handicraft villages that are still preserved, such as the long-standing indigo dyeing tradition of the Vietnamese people. Notably, with the theme Indigenous Medicine, viewers will have the opportunity to delve into the interesting herbal world of the H'Mong ethnic group in Sa Pa with Always having medicine at home. With the unique features of the Heritage Park, viewers will admire the majesty of the highest mountains in Vietnam and explore the biodiversity at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Hoang Lien National Park and Bach Ma National Park. It can be said that now, through the multi-colored lens of "Vibrant Vietnam," domestic and international audiences can admire the panoramic image of Vietnam in a completely different and emotional experience.
