Promoting Gia Lai tourism at Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair

(GLO)- On the morning of September 5, the 18th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC) 2024 opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. This year's fair has the theme "Sustainable Tourism - Creating the Future" and was reported by the world's leading news channel CNN on the Marketplace Asia program.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces coordinated to organize a joint booth to introduce and promote tourism of the two provinces at this year's Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair.

In particular, Gia Lai province introduces and displays tourism publications, traditional handicraft products such as dried gourds with carved patterns, woven products, brocade, etc.

Gia Lai province's booth also promoted local specialties and OCOP products such as sun-dried beef with yellow ant salt, Bien Ho tea products, etc. The products introduced at the Fair were invested in packaging and product design to help optimize local brand recognition.

In addition, some units participating in the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair this year such as Bien Ho Tea Joint Stock Company, Dai Ngan Tourism and Events Company Limited, the owner of Muoi Duc one-sun beef business (Krong Pa district) ... participated in introducing and selling tour programs, tourism services, cuisine ... thereby strengthening connections and cooperation with service business partners. The activities aim to effectively implement the cooperation program, promote and introduce Gia Lai tourism potential to travel companies, press agencies, domestic and foreign tourists.

After 18 times of organization, this is the first year that the 18th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair has been sent by the world's leading news channel CNN to report on the activities on the Marketplace Asia program. The presence of CNN helps to enhance the prestige and influence of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair, while opening up many opportunities for international promotion and cooperation, attracting potential customers, contributing positively to the success and spread of the Fair as well as Vietnamese tourism to the world.
