Promoting Lang Son tourist destination to Central tourists

On March 24, in Hue City, the Lang Son Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion held a Conference on Promoting Lang Son Tourism Destination in 2025 with the theme "Who goes to Lang with me...". This is one of the activities on the occasion of the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. Attending the conference were Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, along with representatives of the tourism industry from several localities in the Central region and tourism businesses.

Lang Son is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists because of its cool climate, beautiful natural landscape, unique culture, diverse and rich natural tourism resources, along with many famous products and culinary specialties. The convenient transportation system has advantages in regional connectivity for tourism development.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son province, said that Lang Son has Huu Nghi International Border Gate, one of the important international border gates connecting Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the large Chinese market.

Lang Son province also has many famous landscapes of Vietnamese poetry and tourism such as Nhi Thanh cave, Tam Thanh pagoda, To Thi mountain, Chi Lang pass... There are hundreds of traditional festivals imbued with national identity, including the Ky Cung Cannon Festival which attracts many visitors from near and far. Notably, on September 8, 2024, UNESCO recognized Lang Son Geopark as a Global Geopark with international geological values.

Introducing unique cultural features of Lang Son province at the conference promoting tourist destinations.

In recent years, Lang Son tourism has gradually affirmed its important position and role in the economic, cultural and social structure of the province. The number of tourists coming to Lang Son is increasing day by day. However, the tourism development of Lang Son province is still not commensurate with its potential and advantages, and has not met the requirements of developing into a spearhead economic sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

Borrowing the lyrics from the famous folk song about Lang Son as the theme and also the slogan of Lang Son tourism "Who goes to Lang Son with me...", the Lang Son Tourism Destination Promotion Conference 2025 held in Hue City not only introduces the amazing beauty of Lang Son but also invites and invites tourists to explore, learn and experience tourism in this land.

According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan, this conference aims to introduce to tourists in Hue and the Central provinces the beauty of traditional cultural values, natural resources and unique tourism products of Lang Son province. Provide more information and images of Lang Son tourism brand with the hope of receiving more attention from associations and tourism businesses in Hue, as well as across the country.

"Through the conference, the locality hopes to promote connections, cooperation, and exploit tour programs, resorts, and tourism discovery, explore the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark, and promote Lang Son tourism to develop further," Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan shared.

Within the framework of the conference, the delegates shared their experiences, contributed ideas as well as suggested directions and effective solutions for Lang Son tourism to have a new development step, commensurate with its potential and advantages.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism always encourages and supports provinces and cities in promoting destination images and cooperating in tourism development, especially localities with tourism potential such as Lang Son and Hue.

To increase the attraction of tourists to Lang Son as well as destinations in the Central region, Mr. Ha Van Sieu suggested that localities need to drastically and effectively implement the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025, especially focusing on building unique and attractive product and service packages to stimulate demand and attract tourists. At the same time, pay attention to the important role of linkage and cooperation in tourism development between localities in building highly connected tourism products, ensuring sustainability and meeting the needs of domestic and foreign tourists.../.
