Quan Son, Hau Loc organizes the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term

During 2 days (May 14 and 15), Thanh Hoa City and Quan Son and Hau Loc districts held the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates for the 2024-2029 term.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations of Thanh Hoa City and Quan Son and Hau Loc districts have focused on innovating the content and methods of operation to become more specific and practical. The role and position of the Fatherland Front have been increasingly affirmed in the political system and social life. The effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization and gathering of people of all walks of life has been enhanced; the spirit of self-management and creativity of the people has been promoted; campaigns and emulation movements have continued to be widely and effectively deployed; activities for the poor, relief and social security have been deployed promptly and to the right target.

♦ Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (XDNTM) and civilized urban areas", the Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa City mobilized people to voluntarily donate more than ^18,250m2 of residential land; ^10,300m2 of agricultural land, with a total amount of over 92 billion VND; self-demolish constructions and assets on land worth more than 21 billion VND; contribute tens of billions of VND and thousands of working days to upgrade and expand roads, intra-field canals, build welfare works, build and repair cultural houses, sewer systems, and lighting systems.

♦ To concretize the 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (XDNTM) and civilized urban areas", the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quan Son district has chaired and coordinated with member organizations to launch and build many effective typical models.

Implementing the emulation movement "For the poor - no one is left behind", the district Fatherland Front has chaired and coordinated the mobilization of the "For the poor" Fund with nearly 12.4 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 243 Great Solidarity houses, contributing to reducing the annual poverty rate according to the new standards for the period 2021-2025, by the end of 2023 the poverty rate of the whole district will be 30%. The district's Relief Fund has received over 23.5 billion VND and dozens of tons of essential goods such as clothes, blankets, and necessities to support the people. The COVID-19 Prevention and Control Fund has mobilized nearly 570 million VND and many medical equipment to support the people in fighting the epidemic...

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress democratically elected 56 members to join the 7th term of the Quan Son District Fatherland Front Committee, 2024 - 2029 term. At the first conference, the District Fatherland Front Committee elected 3 members to join the Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Ha Xuan Khanh, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the 7th term of the District Fatherland Front Committee, 2024-2029 term. The Congress also elected 7 members to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, 2024-2029 term.

♦ In the 2019-2024 term, the Fatherland Front of Hau Loc district has made efforts and responsibilities to overcome difficulties, actively innovated the content and methods of operation, effectively implemented 5 action programs and targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress, achieving outstanding results.

Responding to the emulation movement launched by the Prime Minister "for the poor - no one is left behind", every year, the Fatherland Front at all levels has propagated and mobilized people to participate in contributing to the "For the Poor" Fund. The district Fatherland Front presided over and coordinated with the district's socio-political organizations to implement the model "Residential areas help each other to sustainably reduce poverty", helping 1,096 poor households. In 5 years, it has called for over 8.5 billion VND and many items to support the construction and repair of 168 Great Solidarity houses, support production development, support the examination and treatment of serious illnesses, help and give bicycles to poor students to excel in their studies...

At the congress, delegates focused on discussing and pointing out the achievements as well as the limitations and shortcomings in the organization and operation methods of the Hau Loc District Fatherland Front Committee in the past term, and at the same time proposed directions, goals, and action programs for the 2024-2029 term. Mr. Truong Van Thuan, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the Hau Loc District Fatherland Front Committee, term 2024-2029. The Congress also elected 7 delegates to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.
