Dang Le Nguyen Vu, champion of Road to Olympia 2022, achieved 28.95 points in group A01 (Math, Physics, English), was the top student in this group in Thai Binh and ranked 11th nationwide.
Nguyen Vu, a student at Bac Duyen Ha High School, scored 9.4 in Math, 7.25 in Literature, 9.75 in Physics, 8.75 in Chemistry, 9 in Biology, and 9.8 in English.
Vu's total score for group A01 was 28.95, ranking 11th nationwide with three other candidates from Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, and Nghe An. This result also helped Vu become the top student in group A01 of Thai Binh.
Considering the combination of block A (Math, Physics, Chemistry), Vu scored 27.9 points; block B (Math, Chemistry, Biology) scored 27.15 points, block D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) scored 27.95 points.
"I'm very happy with this result, although I still regret not getting a perfect score in Math," Vu said.
Previously in April, Vu took the Hanoi National University's HSA exam and scored 125/150 points, ranking in the top 10 out of 87,000 candidates.
Despite his high score, the Thai Binh male student will not use his high school graduation exam score or ability assessment to apply for university admission. Vu said he will try his best to achieve good results to close out three years of high school, which is also a spiritual gift to show gratitude to himself and Bac Duyen Ha High School. He will enter Swinburne University, Australia, with a scholarship of 40,000 USD (about 950 million VND) for Olympia champions.

Dang Le Nguyen Vu is a contestant on Vietnam Television's Road to Olympia 2022. He won a dramatic victory in the final round at the end of last year and is also the first student from Thai Binh to win the competition.
Although he did not study at a specialized school, Vu believes that this is not a disadvantage, but on the contrary, it brings an advantage, helping him study all subjects equally and have time to learn about many different fields.
When he became the Olympia champion, Vu said he hoped his journey could help Thai Binh students gain more confidence to pursue their goals.
