Soldiers from Hong Lac give gifts at the military-civilian cultural festival

At the festival, the Provincial Military Command and the Thanh Ha District Military Command presented 12 gifts to families with meritorious services; the Tan Viet Commune People's Credit Fund presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged children in Hong Lac Commune. Art performances by the military and civilians of Hong Lac commune

Through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism and in the construction and protection of the Fatherland, the whole commune had 160 martyrs, 82 wounded soldiers, 86 sick soldiers, and 15 heroic Vietnamese mothers. In 1996, Hong Lac commune was honored to be awarded the noble title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" by the State in the resistance war against French colonialism.

Up to now, the whole commune militia force has 137 comrades. The recruitment work is carried out seriously, every year delivering enough soldiers according to the quota. The commune People's Committee always ensures timely and sufficient budget for the commune's defense activities, ensuring good logistics and technical work for combat readiness tasks.
