Attending the conference were: Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha, Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Hoang Mai District Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Linh, Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, representative of the Hoang Mai District People's Committee, Commander of the Hoang Mai District Military Command Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Huan, Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of wards in the area and more than 100 militia and self-defense forces of Thanh Tri ward.
The political report at the conference stated that in 2024, the Thanh Tri Ward People's Committee directed the comprehensive completion of the tasks of national defense and local military affairs. The ward military agency advised the local Party Committee and government to build a strong national defense, build a national defense posture associated with the people's security posture and build a solid defense area; maintain the combat readiness of the provincial armed forces in all situations.
The Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward regularly lead and direct the standing force, the militia and self-defense force to coordinate with other forces to grasp the situation, maintain political security, social order and safety in the province, especially during political events, cultural and social activities of the locality. The ward regularly pays attention to the work of building strong forces in terms of politics, ideology and organization. The force's organization is according to the regulations of the superiors, the organization is 207 dong.
In 2024, Thanh Tri ward had 13 citizens enlisted (of which 11 citizens enlisted in the army, 02 citizens enlisted in the People's Public Security) completing 100% of the assigned target; receiving, consulting, introducing jobs and giving gifts to 15 discharged soldiers returning to the locality.
The locality has carried out the review, registration, and strict management of the source of people ready to join the army according to the Law, registered 173 young men for military service, managed 765 young men of military age; synchronously carried out the stages and steps in selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025 strictly according to the plan. In 2024, the ward was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the City People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in military recruitment.
To fulfill the local military and defense tasks in 2025, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Tri Ward have focused on proposing solutions to promote four main areas: building political and spiritual potential; building economic potential; building national defense and military posture; and building policies and regimes for the rear.
In her speech, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha praised the achievements of Thanh Tri Ward in the past year. The Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to strongly promote the awareness and responsibility of the Party Committee, the Government, and the entire political system, with the core being the ward's armed forces, in advising, guiding, and organizing the correct implementation of the Party Committee's action program, creating a combined strength to successfully carry out the task of building a national defense for all people.
On this occasion, Thanh Tri Ward People's Committee commended and rewarded many individuals and collectives who performed well in the tasks of local military and defense in 2024. This is a pilot conference, Hoang Mai district will summarize, draw experience and deploy in the remaining localities.
