According to ABC News, the US military said it had just shot down three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and one missile aimed at the destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in the Red Sea.
The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the three UAVs and one anti-ship ballistic missile were launched from areas in Yemen controlled by Houthi forces. The incident did not cause casualties or damage to the destroyer USS Carney. According to CENTCOM, US forces destroyed three anti-ship missiles and three UAVs in other areas in Yemen controlled by Houthis.
Earlier, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said that the force had conducted several missile and UAV attacks on two US destroyers in the Red Sea. Houthi announced that it would conduct more attacks on US and British ships as the two countries continue to bombard the force.
