On March 5, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation announced that it has been and is continuing to invest in infrastructure in the LNG value chain. From March 15, PV GAS will deploy the supply of LNG for industrial production according to the integrated business model of LPG/CNG/LNG, providing diverse product choices, flexible supply sources with quality and competitive prices.
LNG has outstanding advantages in terms of efficiency, environmental friendliness, convenience in transportation and guaranteed supply as committed by PV Gas, and is the key product in the optimal energy solution package for the market.
PV GAS has completed the 1 million ton LNG storage project at Thi Vai since July 2023 and is currently the only unit granted a Certificate of Eligibility for LNG Export and Import Traders in Vietnam. LNG distribution by tanker trucks, ships and trains will ensure a continuous, efficient and high-performance energy supply chain.
In the coming time, PV GAS will start construction of phase 2 of Thi Vai LNG Warehouse with a capacity of 3 million tons/year, expected to be operational in 2026; implement the Son My LNG central port warehouse project in Binh Thuan with a total capacity of 6 million tons/year and implement investment projects for central LNG port warehouses in the Northern and North Central regions.
In addition, PV GAS also established agreements with the world's leading LNG suppliers to ensure stable and competitive supply for the domestic market.
