Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano used the familiar phrase "Here We Go" to confirm the deal was done. The Italian journalist added that the former Tottenham manager will start work in early June. "Pochettino will immediately discuss the transfer plan with Chelsea," Romano concluded.
According to the Athletic , assistants Jesus Perez and Miguel D'Agostino, goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez and son Sebastiano Pochettino will follow Pochettino to Stamford Bridge. The five-man team have been unemployed since leaving PSG last July and also worked together at Tottenham.
The Argentine coach feels that Chelsea's project is suitable for him. The London club is the ideal environment for this young coach to build a young, talented team that can freely come up with ideas to play football as he wishes.
The Telegraph revealed that Chelsea held many talks with Pochettino and positive signals also appeared internally. This information spread to the dressing room and the players were very excited. They highly appreciated the coaching ability, motivational skills, psychology and experience of coach Pochettino.
British media said Pochettino also won respect for his good English and understanding of the Premier League thanks to his previous coaching at Tottenham and Southampton. In particular, Chairman Todd Boehly and his colleagues were impressed with Pochettino's clearly-rated vision.
