At the announcement of the live concert Doa Hong Thorn in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 9, the audience wondered why Phuong Thanh did not invite her close friend Lam Truong to the guest singer list.

Phuong Thanh explained that she had invited Lam Truong but he was busy with his own schedule and could not attend.

Not only live concerts in Hanoi

Live concert Doa Hong Thorn marks the return of singer Phuong Thanh after more than 17 years, since Mua show took place in 2007, at Phan Dinh Phung stadium (HCMC).

According to the original plan, Phuong Thanh only held the live concert Doa Hong Thorn at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi) on May 25.

However, due to fan requests, Phuong Thanh decided to organize two more live concerts in Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City (expected in August 2024).

The guest singers participating in the live concert "Doa Hong Gai" in Hanoi include Bang Kieu, Siu Black, Dan Truong, Ha Le, Lan Nha, MONO and another singer who will be announced in the near future.

Phuong Thanh said Lam Truong is busy with his personal schedule so she will invite him to join the music night in Ho Chi Minh City (expected).

"Chanh will definitely invite Lam Truong to sing in one of the three concerts so as not to be yelled at by the audience. The guest singer will change at each concert. 50% of the program script will be retained, ensuring the consistent idea of the concert" - Phuong Thanh shared.

"Even though I'm in my 60s or 70s, when I step on stage I'm still in my 20s, singing and dancing with all my heart" - Phuong Thanh shared.

Musician Nguyen Huu Vuong - music director of the concert - said that what he always worries about and does is to make a live concert for singer Phuong Thanh "bloody".

Regarding the songs, the collaboration with guest singers is still kept secret, creating curiosity for the audience.
