America's leading travel magazine Travel + Leisure (T + L) recently included Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island in the list of the world's best tourist destinations in 2025.
This year's list was evaluated by experts and readers of T+L based on criteria such as pristine, unique natural scenery and tourism development potential.
Along with many famous destinations in the world such as Phuket (Thailand), Hawaii (USA), Great Barrier (Australia), Reykjavik (Iceland) or Machu Picchu (Peru), Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam to appear on T+L's list this year.
Explaining why Phu Quoc was chosen, writer Esha Dasgupta of T+L described the charming beauty of the Pearl Island that “melts the hearts of every tourist”.
“Night markets, clear blue waters, plenty of diving opportunities, fresh seafood, rich rainforests and diverse animal ecosystems are what make up the beauty of the island,” T+L emphasized in an article published on November 12.
Previously, in September, T+L also published an article praising Phu Quoc as a "rising star" among the world's beautiful islands and called it "the hidden gem of Southeast Asia".
