Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh wishes a Happy New Year to 100-year-old Vietnamese Heroic Mother

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of January 19, in Quang Nam province, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited and wished a Happy New Year to 100-year-old Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Tri and families of beneficiaries and the poor in Dien Ban town.

During his working trip to Dien Ban town, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh conducted meaningful activities to show gratitude and support families with revolutionary contributions and those in difficult circumstances.

At the home of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Tri, the Deputy Prime Minister kindly asked about her health and presented meaningful gifts to her and her family. He also instructed Mother Tri's children to take good care of her so that she can always live happily and healthily.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister also paid tribute at the house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu, the memorial house of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi and the martyrs cemetery of Dien Ban town.

In the morning of the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister visited and presented gifts to Mr. Hoang Kim Duc and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, two 1/4 disabled soldiers in Vinh Dien ward. He acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of the disabled soldiers, and hoped that they would continue to educate their children and grandchildren about patriotism and building their homeland.

The Deputy Prime Minister also visited and presented Tet gifts to 150 poor and near-poor households, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Dien Ban town, wishing the families a happy Tet and a healthy and happy new year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, acting Chairman of Dien Ban Town People's Committee, the locality has more than 19,800 martyrs and 3,140 heroic Vietnamese mothers, of which 46 are still alive.

The town has more than 7,240 wounded and sick soldiers and more than 3,000 revolutionary activists imprisoned by the enemy.

The locality is paying monthly allowances to more than 8,000 meritorious people with a budget of more than 21 billion VND.
