Speaking at the opening of the first session, Mr. Vo Thanh An, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province, requested that delegates promote the spirit of responsibility, democracy, and objectivity to contribute ideas to the contents of the documents submitted to the Congress; unanimously consult and elect members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Standing Committee and key positions of the new Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee that truly represent the people and social forces, and have sufficient capacity and experience to direct and operate the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province throughout their term of office.
At this first session, the Congress consulted to elect a Presidium of 13 members and a Congress secretary of 2 members; the Congress approved the Congress Program for the second session; approved the draft regulations and rules of the Congress; reported a summary of the results of the implementation of the action program for the 2019-2024 term and the expected action program for the 2024-2029 term.

The Congress's report said that in the past term, the local economic scale ranked 18th out of 63 provinces and cities; GRDP per capita ranked 13th nationwide. From 2021 to 2023, Quang Ngai province's budget revenue reached about 85,300 billion VND. The Front, together with member organizations, Party committees and authorities, mobilized people to contribute over 153,000 working days, donate nearly 310,000 m2 of land to build new rural infrastructure, and contribute over 136 billion VND to build new rural works and projects.
The “For the Poor” Fund of the Front and its member organizations has mobilized over 132 billion VND, built and repaired 1,976 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households worth over 105 billion VND; supported livelihoods and social security programs worth over 52 billion VND to help poor and near-poor households develop production and have conditions to escape poverty sustainably...
The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee organized a launching ceremony and received support for the prevention and fight against Covid-19 pandemic worth over 54 billion VND. The Front and its members mobilized more than 506 tons of goods and necessities to Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces to support people in isolated areas...
In the coming term, continue to focus on implementing Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous, society, prestigious people... participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.
In the coming term, continue to focus on implementing Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy"; Conclusion No. 635-KL/TU dated November 1, 2021 of the 5th Conference of the Provincial Party Committee, 20th tenure on continuing to implement Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU dated October 19, 2016 of the 19th Provincial Party Committee on building and developing Quang Ngai culture and people to meet the requirements of innovation, integration and sustainable development.
Propaganda and mobilization of people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations; Mobilize the building of great solidarity, constantly expand and develop the organization, recruit more members, union members, and association members, attract a large number of people from all walks of life, intellectuals, businessmen, social activists, prestigious people, etc. to participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.
On August 28, the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ngai province, term 2024-2029, will continue the second session of the working program.
