On the afternoon of April 1, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the inauguration ceremony of Khanh Hoa Provincial Oncology Hospital (Nguyen Khuyen Street, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City). Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, the Oncology Department of Khanh Hoa General Hospital had only 60 beds and was always overloaded. Since 2017, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has invested in building Khanh Hoa Oncology Hospital with a scale of 200 beds, on an area of nearly 29,000m2 , with a total capital of more than 560 billion VND. The hospital is fully equipped with departments and rooms with a total construction area of more than 18,000m2 , fully equipped with radiotherapy and CT-Scanner systems to ensure medical examination and treatment for people in the province and the South Central region.

Khanh Hoa Department of Health has mobilized and recruited 190 medical staff for Khanh Hoa Provincial Oncology Hospital; providing inpatient medical examination and treatment for people from March 27, 2023. In the near future, the hospital will recruit more human resources, strengthen training of specialist doctors and cooperate in training and transferring techniques from central hospitals, develop high-tech expertise, become the final hospital of the South Central region in cancer prevention; meet the increasing health care needs of the people. The completion and putting into use of Khanh Hoa Provincial Oncology Hospital aims to create favorable conditions for medical examination and treatment of local people and tourists; contribute to building and perfecting the health system of Khanh Hoa province.
