This record is currently held by cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov, with 355 days, 3 hours, 45 minutes and 21 seconds. Meanwhile, according to Roscosmos, the two astronauts Prokopyev and Petelin will join the ISS in September 2022, their initial stay was scheduled to last until March 2023, but due to a problem with the radiator of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, the mission of the two astronauts had to be extended and will end on September 27.
However, the world record holder for the longest stay in space since 1995 is Russian cosmonaut Valery Polykov, who spent 437 days, 17 hours, 58 minutes and 17 seconds aboard the now-decommissioned Mir space station.
