Mass grave of 3 martyrs' remains discovered in a resident's garden

This afternoon, December 12, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Tuyen Commune, Cam Lo District (Quang Tri Province) Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the commune had just found and exhumed the remains of 3 martyrs in a mass grave.

Previously, from December 9 to December 12, based on many sources of information collected, the Martyr Remains Collection Team of Division 968 conducted a survey and search in the garden of Mr. Tran Quoc Tien's house, in Ba Thung village, Cam Tuyen commune and discovered these martyrs' remains.

Accordingly, the remains were found at a depth of about 0.8 m, including 2 remains buried together and 1 separate remains about 3 m away.

Initial information, these are the remains of special forces soldiers, sacrificed around 1968, sacrificed in a fighting bunker. Accompanying discovered relics include AK guns, ammunition boxes, gas masks, helmets, aluminum canteens...

Currently, the Martyr Remains Collection Team of Division 968 continues to expand the search area in this area.
