Police discovered a warehouse containing half a ton of explosive precursors in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, Go Vap District Police coordinated with related units to raid a house on Pham Van Chieu Street (Ward 16) and discovered that the house contained nearly 500 kg of chemicals on the list of explosive precursors, nearly 100 meters of slow-burning fuse, nearly 900 kg of ball-shaped plastic shells, about 1 ton of cylindrical cardboard tubes, 275 packaged orders ready to be delivered to many localities across the country, many documents and machines suspected of being used to illegally produce firecrackers. All of the above goods were of unknown origin.

At the police station, the two suspects confessed that they knew that many people needed to use fireworks, so they went online to learn, searched for materials, and then resold them to customers to make a profit.

Police determined that the chemicals seized at the above warehouse, when mixed according to the formula and ratio, would create explosives.

Currently, the Go Vap District Police are continuing to consolidate records, expand investigation, and handle the case according to regulations.
