This afternoon, April 19, in Dong Ha City, the Provincial Children's House in coordination with the Provincial Veterans Association organized a launching ceremony for a painting contest with the theme "Following the footsteps of Dien Bien soldiers". The contest aims to benefit the "Painting contest for children and teenagers about the Dien Bien Phu victory and the image of Dien Bien Phu today" organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the contestants are teenagers and children from 6 to 15 years old, living and studying at primary schools, secondary schools, inter-level schools, and children's houses in districts and towns in the province.
With the theme “Following the footsteps of Dien Bien soldiers”, the content of the works revolves around the theme of recreating and praising the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu; praising the natural beauty, people, culture, and history of Dien Bien province...
Contestants will draw on A3 white paper with their own choice of colors such as watercolor, wax, powder, oil paint, felt-tip pens, colored pencils... and submit their entries online by taking a photo of their work and sending it to the Organizing Committee via email: [email protected] or the Facebook page of Quang Tri Provincial Children's House.
Entries must be clear, full-frontal photos that fully represent the work; photos must be in JPEG format, between 1Mb and 5Mb in size, and unedited.
The contest will run from April 20 to May 20, 2024. The closing ceremony, award ceremony and exhibition are scheduled to be held on May 31, 2024. The Organizing Committee will award 2 A prizes, 2 B prizes, 4 C prizes to groups and many other prizes to groups and individuals with excellent entries.
The contest is organized to promote and raise awareness among teenagers and children about the significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7 (1954 - 2024).
Thereby, educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national unification, for the happiness of the people; educating students on the awareness of training, striving to study and contribute, contributing to building the homeland and country.
