Mr. Ho Dac Thai Hoang, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, discussed and oriented some topics to participate in the Contest.

Speaking at the conference to launch the Contest, Mr. Ho Dac Thai Hoang, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, said that after 17 times of organizing the annual Contest, thousands of topics have participated at all levels; of which, 1,591 topics participated at the provincial level, 671 topics won provincial prizes, 42 topics won national prizes and 3 topics won international prizes.

This year’s competition continues to arouse potential and promote creative thinking in learning, scientific and technological research, innovation and digital transformation of teenagers and children throughout the city. At the same time, it helps them improve their knowledge, practice creative skills, and build their dreams of becoming future inventors.

Contestants include all teenagers and children in Hue city from 6 to 18 years old; young children, children in mountainous areas, border areas, islands, and ethnic minorities are encouraged to participate.

The models and products participating in this year's contest must be new, creative and grasp and adhere to the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. The topics focus on the following areas: Learning materials; Computer software; Environmentally friendly products; Household appliances and children's toys; Technical solutions to respond to climate change, protect the environment and develop the economy.

The new point of this year's contest is that there will be an additional Special Prize in the award structure.

Regarding the award structure, in addition to the certificates awarded by the Organizing Committee for the awards, this year's Contest will have 1 Special Prize of 15 million VND; 5 First Prizes of 8 million VND each; 10 Second Prizes of 6 million VND each; 10 Third Prizes of 4 million VND each and 15 Consolation Prizes of 2 million VND each. The authors who won the Special Prize and First Prize will be proposed to the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to consider awarding the title of Creative Youth. Topics that win Third Prize or higher will be selected to participate in the 21st National Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2025.
