On the occasion of the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day, March 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Union launched the "Loving Ao Dai" Program in 2024. This is a meaningful program, expressing love, aiming to share difficulties for women working in production at companies in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park and honoring the value of the traditional Ao Dai.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Union launched a campaign for cadres, civil servants, and workers, especially female workers working at grassroots trade union units in the administrative and career areas of the city's civil servant union, to donate old ao dai, ao dai fabric, unused ao dai, etc. to female workers in production at grassroots trade unions of companies in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
Form: Ao dai/Ao dai fabric that can still be used, collected into sets, put into bags/sets to make the collection, classification and donation process easy and appropriate to the recipient. In addition, it is necessary to label each bag according to the model and clearly state the weight and height (it is recommended to clearly state body measurements if any) so that the donation is given to the right person and the right size. The collection is expected to take place until March 6, 2024, directly at the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Trade Union Office (No. 32 Truong Dinh, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).
This is a meaningful program launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Trade Union for the first time in 2022. Through this program, 1,200 ready-made ao dai sets, 90% new, and new fabric for making ao dai have been received from women working at grassroots trade unions under the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Trade Union.
