The tournament not only has a normal sporting meaning but also an opportunity for athletes to learn about the culture and life of local people as well as strengthen solidarity and friendship among the three Indochinese countries.
The fact that all three stages of Viettel Marathon meet AAA standards, with a total prize pool of up to 150,000 USD with many diverse and attractive prize categories, has affirmed the professional quality and prestige of an international tournament in its first time being held.
