On August 17, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced the Resolution appointing Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan as Vice Principal in charge of professional affairs for the 2020-2025 term of this University.
Before being appointed to this position, Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan was concurrently holding management positions at the school such as: Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan said that this is both an honor and a great responsibility. "With my professional experience and working capacity, I hope to continue to unite and be creative with the school's leadership team to inherit and further develop Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the future," the new Vice President shared.
In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan is also Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Medical Journal ; member of the Editorial Board of Fertility and Reproduction Journal (the official journal of ASPIRE); member of the World Health Organization's editorial team on guidelines for approaching an infertile couple.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan, born in 1971, graduated as a general practitioner from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. After that, she obtained a master's degree in medicine specializing in clinical embryology at the National University of Singapore, and successfully defended her doctoral thesis in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan was appointed to the title of Associate Professor in 2019.
