Mr. Vo Van Hung officially received the appointment decision as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On the afternoon of November 19, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Vo Van Hung as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

At the ceremony, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan congratulated Mr. Vo Van Hung on being trusted and believed by the Party and State and being appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Minister Le Minh Hoan hopes that with his management experience in Quang Tri, a locality with many forms from mountains, plains to islands, Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung will have a practical perspective, supplementing the perspective of the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the story of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas.

"With a spirit of sincerity, sharing and mutual respect, I hope that Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung will soon overcome his initial confusion to build an agricultural house and develop rural areas together," Minister Le Minh Hoan shared.

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung thanked the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, and the Prime Minister for trusting him with the important responsibility and deciding to appoint him to the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung, the current context is posing new requirements for the agriculture and rural development sector, a sector with broad management functions and tasks in many fields... to serve the country's rapid and sustainable construction and development.

"I will promptly grasp the work, together with the ministry's leadership, take advantage of opportunities from global trends in digital transformation, digital economy, circular economy, and green development; especially in the assigned fields to make our country's agriculture and rural areas continue to be an important economic sector," Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung affirmed.

To implement these orientations, Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung hopes to receive close coordination, support, solidarity and unanimity from the ministry's leaders and all cadres, employees, workers and enterprises in the agriculture and rural development sector as well as localities.

Mr. Vo Van Hung was born in 1972, hometown in Vinh Thuy commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province; professional qualification: PhD in Forestry; theoretical qualification: Senior political.

On November 15, 2024, in Decision No. 1396/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development currently has Minister Le Minh Hoan and 6 Deputy Ministers: Phung Duc Tien, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Nguyen Quoc Tri, Hoang Trung and Vo Van Hung.

Mr. Vo Van Hung was born in 1972, his hometown is Vinh Thuy commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province. Mr. Hung has a professional qualification of Doctor of Forestry; Senior in Politics.

From 2012 to 2029, Mr. Hung held many different positions, such as: Vice Chairman of Cam Lo District People's Committee, Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Tri. From July 2019 to June 2020, Mr. Hung held the position of Secretary of Dong Ha City Party Committee.

On June 8, 2020, at the 30th Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Conference, Term XVI, Mr. Hung was elected Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee. Then, on June 9, 2020, at the 15th session, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council, Term VII, term 2016-2021, elected Mr. Vo Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.

At the first session of the 8th term People's Council of Quang Tri province, term 2021 - 2026, Mr. Vo Van Hung was re-elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

On November 15, 2024, the Prime Minister signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
