Former President Donald Trump and incumbent Republican Senator Rick Scott won the race in Florida, a key battleground state.
Mr Trump first won Florida in 2016, which was considered a swing state. However, Florida has since become a reliably Republican state.

In addition to Florida, Mr. Trump won in Oklahoma, Tennessee, South Carolina. While Ms. Harris won in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island.
None of these results are surprising. These are states that have supported their party for years.
US states are counting election results, updated continuously over time.
Exit polls show Trump leading Harris on the economy , but losing on abortion rights. According to an AP VoteCast exit poll of more than 110,000 voters across the US on November 5, Trump is the presidential candidate who can handle the economy and immigration better than Kamala Harris.
These were two core issues in Mr. Trump’s campaign messages. Mr. Trump accused the Biden administration of causing rising prices and increasing illegal immigration at the US-Mexico border.
Meanwhile, a post-election survey conducted by CNN found that about a third of US voters said the country's economy was in good or excellent condition, down by half compared to the 2020 presidential election.
On November 5, about 170 million Americans will go to the polls across the country to choose their leaders for the next four years. Many states will announce the results on Election Day.
