Carpenter in Ha Tinh voted outstanding Vietnamese farmer

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (born in 1967, Truong Son commune, Duc Tho, Ha Tinh) - a person who specializes in making houses from jackfruit wood is the only farmer in Ha Tinh to receive the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer in 2023".

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan has just signed a decision to award the title of 100 "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers" in 2023.

In this list, Ha Tinh has 1 representative voted, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (born 1967, Truong Son commune, Duc Tho).

Mr. Minh is a farmer specializing in producing lim-jackfruit wood houses and other high-end wooden products. Each year, his facility produces 15-20 houses, with a profit of 4.680 billion VND in 2022 alone.

Mr. Minh's production facility has invested in many types of advanced machinery such as: 3D wood carving, CNC lathe, sawing machine, automatic wood drilling and drilling machine and other technologically applied machinery... The carpentry facility also contributes to creating jobs for dozens of workers with income from 10 - 25 million VND/person/month.

In addition, each year, Mr. Minh's family supports about 35 - 65 million VND to build social welfare works in the locality, helps and gives 30 - 50 gifts worth 15 - 25 million VND to the poor and people in especially difficult circumstances; gives annual Tet gifts to workers and laborers from 10 - 15 gifts worth 5 - 7.5 million VND.

It is known that in 2023, the Organizing Committee of the Proud of Vietnamese Farmers program received 250 applications. The Secretariat compiled and preliminarily selected 158 applications for the council to vote. Next, the members of the Central Final Selection Council scored each application and found 100 applications with the highest scores worthy of receiving the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" in 2023.
