According to the report at the conference, this year, the association's work and the farmers' movement in Quang Nam continued to change positively. In 2024, the whole province developed 4,846 new farmer members, reaching 162% of the target assigned by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association. As of November 30, 2024, the whole province had a total of 190,819 farmer members.
In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels will organize training courses on professional skills and association work for 2,842 union officials. Of which, the Provincial Women's Union will organize training courses on professional skills for association work for 100 district and grassroots Women's Union officials; send 17 union officials at all levels to participate in training courses on professional skills for association work organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. The District Women's Union will coordinate to organize training courses on political theory and professional skills for association work for more than 2,725 grassroots and branch association officials.
Notably, this year, the Farmers' Associations at all levels in Quang Nam focused on developing a plan to mobilize 150,402 households to register to participate in the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty".
Through evaluation, the whole province has 61,754 households achieving the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels. Of which, there are 38,271 households at the commune level, 20,774 households at the district level, 2,583 households at the provincial level, and 126 households at the central level.
In 2024, the provincial Farmers' Association mobilized to eliminate 9 temporary houses with a total support budget of 540 million VND (60 million VND per house); the district-level Farmers' Association also mobilized 1.764 billion VND to support the renovation and repair of 34 houses for those with housing difficulties.
In addition, the association at all levels mobilized to provide livelihoods and gifts to members and farmers in difficult economic circumstances with a budget of more than 3.5 billion VND...
At the conference, the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 district-level Farmers' Association collectives that achieved the title of excellent labor collective and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in association work and farmers' movements in 2024. At the same time, it proposed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association commend 11 collectives.
On this occasion, the Quang Nam Farmers' Association mobilized companies and businesses to support 225 million VND to give Tet gifts to members and farmers in difficult circumstances in the province.
