(NLDO) - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien visited and presented gifts to cancer patients being treated at K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility.


On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on the afternoon of January 25, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the Central working delegation visited and encouraged doctors and gave gifts to cancer patients being treated at K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. Also attending was Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Party Central Committee member, Minister of Health.

Directly visiting and giving gifts to patients being treated at the pediatrics department and the emergency resuscitation department of K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility, Mr. Do Van Chien sent his regards and New Year wishes to the patients being treated at the hospital and wished them peace of mind during their treatment so that they can quickly recover and return to their families.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that in order to share with those in difficult circumstances and ensure that everyone and every family has a Tet holiday, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized delegations to visit and present gifts to cancer patients in especially difficult circumstances being treated at 4 hospitals: Central K Hospital; Nghe An Oncology Hospital; Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, Can Tho City Oncology Hospital with 800 gifts worth 1,040 billion VND.

Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that while normal people with cancer have many difficulties, poor people with cancer are the ones with the most difficult circumstances. In the near future, the Central Fund for the Poor will have new approaches to provide the most practical forms of support for cancer patients in difficult circumstances across the country.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front, as the center of the great national unity bloc, within its scope and responsibility, will wholeheartedly accompany, support and help poor cancer patients in difficult circumstances to gain more motivation to overcome the disease.

On the eve of the New Year of the Snake 2025, Mr. Do Van Chien respectfully sends his thanks and wishes the team of doctors, nurses and medical staff across the country in general and K Hospital in particular a new year of good health, happy family, and success in completing assigned tasks.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, Minister Dao Hong Lan respectfully thanked the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for his affection in visiting and encouraging the medical staff at Tan Trieu K Hospital during their duties and on duty during the Lunar New Year.

Minister Dao Hong Lan said that in recent times, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, the health sector has strived to overcome difficulties and challenges to rise up in the recovery process, implementing the task of caring for and protecting people's health.

Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health, presented gifts to the medical staff at Tan Trieu K Hospital.

With the attention of the Party, State and Government leaders, K Hospital has invested resources to purchase machinery and equipment to better serve medical examination and treatment.

The Ministry of Health is currently preparing a project to submit to the Government for investment in 3 high-quality treatment centers to serve the treatment of patients in the North, Central and South. If the project is implemented, it will not only contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment in the country but also attract foreign tourists to come for medical examination and treatment.

Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, said that in addition to the task of taking care of people's health, in 2024, the hospital also connected and mobilized support units to donate more than 23 billion VND to poor cancer patients.

During the Lunar New Year, patients staying at K Hospital for treatment will receive gifts, lucky money, milk cakes and an additional 100,000 VND/person/day. Patients from poor households, near-poor households, ethnic minorities, and people with revolutionary contributions will also receive free meals according to the hospital's current program.
