Vietnam's traditional Phu Quoc fish sauce is considered the best in the world , not only because of its ingredients but also because of the historical process of making the product. This specialty 'sold out' after 2 days of sale in Thailand.
For the first time, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) cooperated with Central Retail Vietnam Group to organize the "Connection Week and Vietnamese Product Introduction Space at Central Retail Vietnam Distribution System in 2024" from July 19-22 in Ho Chi Minh City. The event aims to create opportunities for businesses to promote cooperation with distributors, expand the market and bring products closer to consumers. “Two years ago, we went to Thailand with 13 Phu Quoc fish sauce businesses. At first, Vietnamese businesses thought it would be difficult to sell Phu Quoc fish sauce here, but in the end, it was successful. In two days, not a single drop of fish sauce was sold out,” recalled a representative of Central Retail. He assessed that Vietnam's traditional Phu Quoc fish sauce can be considered the best in the world. It is important not only because of the delicious ingredients but also because we know how to tell the history of the formation and production of this specialty product. In addition to Phu Quoc fish sauce, according to Mr. Paul Le, the group also wants to bring traditional fish sauce from other localities of Vietnam to the markets of Thailand, the US and Europe. At this event, the organizing committee selected 40 businesses out of nearly 100 registered applications to display and introduce their products. Products include: packaged and processed foods, tea, coffee, spices, confectionery, health products and agricultural products (prioritizing organic products). Here, representatives of the purchasing department from Central Retail Vietnam's product groups will evaluate and advise on products, in order to support suppliers in orienting high quality, designs and product specifications suitable for the modern consumer market. Thereby, Central Retail has the opportunity to find more potential products to bring into the supermarket system GO!, Big C, Tops Market... Mr. Paul Le emphasized: "We hope that through this event, we will create opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to continue to grow, improve product quality and expand the consumer market, not only domestically but also internationally. Thereby, increasing competition and affirming the position of Vietnamese products globally". Source: https://vietnamnet.vn/nuoc-mam-phu-quoc-chay-hang-sau-2-ngay-mo-ban-tai-thai-lan-2304483.html
