On the last night of 2023, Tay Ninh set an unprecedented record – welcoming 5,009,850 visitors taking the cable car to Ba Den Mountain in 2023 – the mountain known as the roof of the South, a famous pilgrimage destination with sacredness and many spiritual and cultural experiences.

As early as 4:00 p.m. on December 31, 2023, the special guests marking the milestone of Ba Den Mountain cable car reaching 5 million visitors were announced and honored at the cable car departure station of Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area. The three luckiest guests were the 4,999,999th guest - Ms. Vo Thuy Linh (Dong Nai); the 5,000,000th guest - Mr. Cao Hai Bang (Tay Ninh); the 5,000,001st guest - Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Lieu (HCMC).

With more than 5 million visitors taking the cable car to Ba Den Mountain in 2023, Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area has contributed to bringing Tay Ninh tourism beyond the annual plan, welcoming more than 5.1 million visitors and becoming one of the top tourist destinations in Vietnam in the past year.

Fireworks display in Tay Ninh attracts thousands of tourists and people

To mark the historical milestone of Tay Ninh tourism and welcome the new year 2024, the brilliant 15-minute fireworks display right at the Ba Den mountain cable car station attracted thousands of tourists and people to participate in a joyful atmosphere, wishing for a new year full of joy and happiness.

This is the first year Tay Ninh has organized fireworks displays and many special sideline activities on the occasion of New Year's Day, so from early morning, crowds of people have flocked to Ba Den Mountain to eagerly await the moment of the changing of seasons.

While watching the fireworks, many people took the opportunity to record the first beautiful and memorable moments of the New Year.

In the morning, we went up the mountain to visit the Lady and enjoy the scenery in the joyful and bustling spring atmosphere, then joined the crowd offering candles on the sacred mountain top to wish for a peaceful New Year. At the moment of New Year's Eve, the whole family burst into tears with a brilliant fireworks display. This is truly an unforgettable New Year!"

Accompanying the fireworks display is a countdown art program at the moment of transition between the old year and the new year “Hello 2024: Tay Ninh – A radiant journey”. Here, attractive gifts worth more than 10 million VND were given to the three luckiest guests marking the milestone of Ba Mountain cable car surpassing 5 million visitors.

Amidst the sacred mountain peak sparkling with the light of thousands of LED lights, clouds from the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son descended to the large square, thousands of tourists quietly and solemnly released lanterns into the water around the Bat Nha Sutra pillar, giving thanks for a peaceful year, and wishing for a new year of good fortune and luck. Thousands of wishes were lit under the shimmering light, floating on the water, creating a magical and sacred scene for the highest mountain peak in the South.
