Female student beaten to the point of mental disorder, district in Hanoi criticizes principal

On the afternoon of March 31, a representative of Thanh Tri District People's Committee informed about the handling of the incident of a group of students fighting at Ta Thanh Oai Secondary School (Hanoi).

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district requested to criticize the Principal of Ta Thanh Oai Secondary School in performing the duties and responsibilities of the school's head. At the same time, the principal and the board of directors were requested to seriously review and learn from experience and absolutely not let similar incidents arise in the future.

The Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the school need to coordinate to visit and encourage students, and provide maximum support to families in examining and caring for them so that they can soon stabilize and return to normal schooling.

The district also asked the school to establish a disciplinary council to consider how to handle the students involved in the incident.

Previously, on March 20, in classroom 9A5 of Ta Thanh Oai Secondary School, a group of 9th grade students fought during recess. One student filmed a clip and posted it on social media.

The main cause was a conflict and verbal exchange on social media between TKL (class 9A1) and NTL (class 9A5). After the fight, female student NTL suffered facial injuries and was in a state of panic. Her family took her to Thanh Tri District General Hospital for examination and treatment.

Immediately after the incident, NTL's family reported it to the homeroom teacher, but 5 days later the school board only asked about the incident and did not take any action. This made NTL's parents extremely upset.
