Lilia Vu won two major titles (equivalent to Grand Slam titles in tennis), including the Chevron Championship and the Women's British Open.

This is an extraordinary achievement for the Vietnamese girl, because before 2023, Lilia Vu had not won any major titles.

Even former world number one and reigning Olympic champion Nelly Korda (USA) has only won one major title in her entire career, up to this point. Meanwhile, Lilia Vu has won twice as many major titles as Nelly Korda.

With her achievements over the past year, Lilia Vu is currently ranked number one in the world, and she was voted female golfer of the year on the LPGA Tour (a prestigious golf tournament system, equivalent to the Masters tournaments in tennis).

In addition, the Vietnamese golfer was also voted the best athlete in major tournaments of the year.

While female golfers like Nelly Korda and Ko Jin Young (Korea) are showing signs of slowing down, Lilia Vu’s rise has helped the world of women’s golf not lose its appeal. Fans still have excellent names to follow in the LPGA Tour and major tournaments.
