With only 2 months left until the Lunar New Year 2024, film crews are rushing to complete their productions to serve audiences on the occasion of the coming of the New Year and spring. Dan Tri reporters followed the crew of the comedy film Tet Dai Gia Chan Bare to Thai Binh to record interesting behind-the-scenes images of the artists.
At 9:30 a.m., the group of reporters arrived at Con Den beach (Thai Thuy, Thai Binh) - where the crew of Dai gia chan dat had some scenes to film. At this time, director Tran Binh Trong and artists such as: People's Artist Trung Hieu, Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai, Meritorious Artist Quang Teo... were busy preparing for the segments.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, director Binh Trong said that the crew of Dai Gia Chan Bare had many days of filming in Thai Binh, Quang Ninh... The day before, while acting with colleagues, because he was too "high", he slipped and fell and had to go to the hospital in Thai Binh for treatment.
Here, the doctors diagnosed him with a fracture and had to put him in a cast. Because the set was prepared and all the actors were present for filming, he endured the pain and tried to complete the scenes on schedule.
At 10am, the actors get their make-up done and change into costumes to prepare for their roles. In this Tet comedy, People's Artist Trung Hieu plays the role of "tycoon" Van Tich. In the past few days, the male artist and the film crew had to work "forgetting to eat and sleep" to meet the schedule.
Taking advantage of the time before his turn to get his make-up done, Meritorious Artist Quang Teo reread the script. Like People's Artist Trung Hieu, he has participated in this series for 14 years. In the film, he plays the role of "tycoon" Cong Su - Van Tich's in-law. These two characters often go together, creating humorous situations for the film.
Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai unexpectedly appeared at the film crew. He said he accepted the invitation to participate in this Tet film because he admired director Binh Trong. Over the years, he had received invitations but was too busy to participate, so when he had free time, he was willing to travel from Da Nang to the North for many days to make the film.
Behind the scenes of the film crew, the artists often joked with each other. In the photo, Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai showed off his talent for drawing beards and applying makeup, making People's Artist Trung Hieu laugh out loud, while Meritorious Artist Quang Teo stood next to him, enthusiastically cheering for his two colleagues.
At 10:30, the artists finished their makeup and sat down to read the script and practice their lines. However, just as the crew finished preparing, it started to rain heavily. Because there were outdoor scenes, the crew had to stop and wait for the rain to stop.
At 1 p.m., the artists continued to go to the set. The film was filmed near the beach, and it was raining and cold, so everyone tried to finish their work.
The film Dai Gia Chan Bare has entered its 14th year. Over the years, audiences have become familiar with People's Artist Trung Hieu (playing Van Tich) and Meritorious Artist Quang Teo (playing Cong Su). The two artists are considered to have graceful acting and good chemistry with each other.
Sharing the reason why he accepted to make director Binh Trong's Tet comedy film for more than 10 years, People's Artist Trung Hieu said: "The film crew are all close artists, so when working, I feel very comfortable. After 14 years of making the film Dai gia chan dat , I see that the audience in the countryside supports and loves us. This is the motivation that helps us "burn" ourselves out with our roles."
When asked about the salary, People's Artist Trung Hieu said: "Quang Teo and I are the two main characters, but we have never placed too much importance on the salary. There were years when the film crew encountered difficulties, but we also supported them and did not ask for anything."
Director Binh Trong said that for many days, the crew had to film continuously from 6am today until 6am the next morning. During the last days, the crew worked from 5am until almost 5pm to finish, forgetting to eat or drink.
The day we were there, the crew started filming from 1pm to 7pm, then took a break until 10pm before continuing filming. Because they were filming near the sea, the crew had to wait for the tide to rise before they could act out the scene according to the script.
However, after each scene, the artists feel satisfied. They hope that their hard work and efforts will be rewarded with the hearty laughter of the movie-going audience every Tet holiday.
