Responding to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control 2023 and commemorating World AIDS Day December 1, the Ho Chi Minh City HIV/AIDS Prevention Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with Blue Sky Social Enterprise Company Limited, and Nha Minh Clinic organized "Live fully 2023 - Every moment, Every breath" on November 30. The theme of this year's Action Month is "Creative community - Determined to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030!".
The event took place from 8am to 9pm at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, in person and online with the participation of a large number of young people, students and the entire community participating in HIV/AIDS prevention and control.
During the festival, there were many seminars such as: Learning about gender, understanding health, safe youth; People with HIV and oral health; Prevention of mother-to-child transmission - Achievements and orientations; Health for transgender people; Opportunistic infections: Prevention and treatment; Treatment load under 1,000 - Zero risk; Understanding children.

Artists participating in the Reunion Night for Understanding , spread the message "Stop stigma" to call for reducing stigma and discrimination against people with HIV and people affected by HIV/AIDS ; increase family and social support for people with HIV/AIDS and the responsibility of people with HIV/AIDS to their families and society... This is also the highlight program of the Full Life Festival - where people with HIV receive companionship from artists, celebrities, and influential people in society, proving that the community is not alone on the journey to equality in services, in their needs and activities.
The reunion night is an opportunity to sit together, listen to stories, share about what has been done, expectations and dreams for the future, to give each other hugs, hold hands and spread positive energy, so that people with HIV receive more motivation to try harder in life.
According to data from the Ministry of Health in the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam has about 249,000 people infected with HIV, of which about 230,000 people infected with HIV have been detected and are still alive.
In recent years, with efforts to comprehensively and effectively implement HIV/AIDS prevention and control solutions, Vietnam has reduced the number of new infections and deaths from HIV/AIDS by more than two-thirds compared to 10 years ago. The HIV infection rate has decreased among injecting drug users (from 28.6% in 2004 to 12.1% in 2021) and female sex workers (from 5.9% in 2002 to 2.5% in 2022).
Vietnam maintains the goal of controlling the rate of HIV infection in the community at below 0.3% (currently estimated at 0.26%), reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on health and socio-economic development.
However, HIV/AIDS is still complicated and the risk of resurgence is high. Monitoring data shows that the HIV/AIDS epidemic is on the rise in some localities; the HIV infection rate among drug addicts is still above 12.1%; in particular, the HIV infection rate among men who have sex with men has increased rapidly in recent years (from 3.95% in 2011 to 5.1% in 2015 and 12.5% in 2022).
