The Vietnam Musicians Association has just announced the sad news: Painter and poet Le Huy Quang suddenly passed away on the night of August 21. His passing has left many colleagues regretful and heartbroken.

On his personal page, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu - Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association - wrote: "Even though I am always aware that: Over 50 years old, people can leave this life at any time, let alone poet Le Huy Quang who is 80 (according to his age - PV), I was still stunned when I heard the news. That poet wearing wooden clogs, very "rustic", was a "vandal" in poetry since the first years of renovation.

There were many people who praised him and there were also many people who criticized him. But he paid no attention to anything, just leisurely walked through this life in a pair of wooden clogs and then went straight to heaven."
