Product scale, booth increased
With the theme “Intellectual property and digital technology - Creative startup platform”, the 5th Quang Nam Creative Startup Week - TechFest Quang Nam 2024 has passed half way with a series of forums and seminars taking place from May 15-17.
Extending the series of activities, from June 5-9, at 24/3 Square, the trade connection and investment promotion program TechFest Quang Nam 2024 will take place. This is an expected activity in each TechFest organization of the province.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Sinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Head of the Provincial Creative Science Support Executive Board, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of TechFest Quang Nam informed that, through the registration list sent to the organizing committee, the number of booths at TechFest Quang Nam 2024 is expected to increase by about 100 booths compared to 2023.
According to the plan, there will be about 330 exhibition booths, but so far, provinces, cities, 18 districts, towns, and units in the province have registered 430 exhibition booths.
In 2023, TechFest Quang Nam attracted about 300 booths, introducing nearly 1,000 ideas, KN products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products, both inside and outside the province.
With the number of booths increasing by about 100, TechFest Quang Nam 2024 is expected to display and introduce a large number of products... The displayed products ensure the brand, standards, measurements and quality according to regulations.
According to Mr. Sinh, most provinces and localities in the province have registered more booths than the organizers have proposed. However, the Organizing Committee of TechFest Quang Nam 2024 has tried to create favorable conditions to support the entities.
“Over many years of organization, TechFest Quang Nam has had a strong spread. This year, in addition to units and localities in the province, the event will gather booths and products from 16 provinces and cities in the North - Central - South to participate in exhibitions and trade connections,” Mr. Sinh shared.
Through the registration list, this year, in addition to OCOP products, startup products, typical rural industrial products, the TechFest Quang Nam 2024 exhibition will have more booths introducing products in the fields of mechanics, technology, creative scientific and technical solutions... belonging to centers, colleges, and universities.
The Organizing Committee of TechFest Quang Nam 2024 said that, unlike previous years, this year TechFest is organized into 2 groups at different times, including the event group of forums, seminars and the group of connecting, promoting trade, and honoring KN projects.
This solves the problem of time pressure; creates conditions for subjects to focus on connecting and promoting their products and projects at the booth, while spending more time on commercialization.
Looking forward to the days of connection
At 24/3 Square, preparations for product display and connection activities have been urgently deployed. The organizing committee also calculated and arranged harmoniously and appropriately the booths, display areas, stages, etc.
A large space in front of 24/3 Square is reserved for products from provinces and cities across the country. Many remote localities such as Can Tho , Dong Thap, Kien Giang have also registered to display products at TechFest Quang Nam 2024.
Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Nhung - Director of Moc An Green Development Company Limited (Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province), said that she has fully prepared products to be ready to display and introduce at TechFest Quang Nam 2024.
The company's outstanding products are cereal powder, nutritional cakes, and herbal teas under the Moc An brand. In particular, Moc An Cereal Powder was honored to win the Regional Women's Entrepreneurship Encouragement Award and the First Prize in the Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Creativity Competition in 2023.
Ms. Nhung shared: “By participating in TechFest Quang Nam this time, I hope to connect businesses in Quang Nam to become partners in supplying raw materials, and at the same time look for more agents and distributors here.
In addition, we also hope that more customers in Quang Nam and other provinces will be exposed to Moc An products, contributing to expanding the market in the coming time."
Currently, localities in the province have also prepared to bring products to Tam Ky City for display and promotion. According to the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Hiep Duc district, the district will display 12 booths of 12 cooperatives, establishments, and business households. The subjects will be supported by the district with transportation costs, food, accommodation, propaganda banners, etc.
TechFest Quang Nam 2023 Organizing Committee informed: From 4:00 p.m. on June 5, product trade connection will begin. On this occasion, technology supply and demand connection between Quang Nam province and Da Nang city will also take place. This year's KN project honoring program also has innovations, creating conditions to connect projects and spread to students.
