This summer's transfer market has been activated by a number of Premier League teams. Liverpool, after missing out on Jude Bellingham (who went to Real Madrid), have signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Harry Kane's future at Tottenham looks set to become a hot transfer story as the England captain enters the final year of his contract. Several of Kane's international team-mates could also be heading to new clubs, including Declan Rice, Mason Mount and James Maddison. Meanwhile, Brighton are expected to raise more money by selling Moises Caicedo.
Kane is eager to join a big team in the hope of winning the first title of his career.
Despite Tottenham struggling to finish eighth in the 2022-23 season, Kane has still been prolific, scoring 30 Premier League goals. Kane is now 47 goals behind Alan Shearer's all-time scoring record and may have to decide whether to pursue his first trophy.
Real Madrid are said to want Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may be more willing to listen to offers from the Spanish giants than a Premier League rival. However, Kane could also wait out the final 12 months of his contract to choose his next destination on a free transfer.
Rice is the most complete midfielder in the Premier League.
West Ham chairman David Sullivan has admitted that Declan Rice's last game for the club could be the Europa Conference League final, which they won after beating Fiorentina last week. The 24-year-old has had no shortage of suitors after becoming one of the Premier League's most complete midfielders. Arsenal are leading the race for the England international as the Gunners look to win the title after being overturned by Manchester City last season.
Mason Mount is the darling of Chelsea fans. He failed to make an impact last season due to injuries and a deadlock in his contract. The midfielder has just 12 months left on his contract and is said to be a target for Chelsea to sell urgently to balance the books under Financial Fair Play regulations. MU and Liverpool are said to be interested but refused to meet Chelsea's £70 million valuation.
Mount (blue shirt) is likely to join MU
Meanwhile, Brighton held firm when Arsenal tried to sign Caicedo in January, despite the Ecuadorian handing in a public transfer request. Caicedo has since signed a new contract until 2027, but on the condition that he be allowed to leave this summer. With Arsenal in the race for Rice and Liverpool considering other midfield targets, Chelsea appear to be the frontrunners to sign the 21-year-old.
Leicester's relegation from the Premier League will lead to an exodus from the King Power Stadium. Maddison has been a valuable asset for the Foxes, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in just 30 Premier League appearances last season. He could be aiming for Champions League football next season after being on Newcastle's wish list. The Magpies are expected to be one of Europe's biggest spenders this summer as the Saudi Arabia-backed club prepare for their return to Europe's top flight after 20 years.
