According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Duc - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh City People's Committee, the city has implemented many key projects, especially strategic inter-regional transport projects, as a premise to connect new urban areas, creating development momentum. These include the Eastern Ring Road of the city (40% progress), Nguyen Du Street extension (about 40%), Xuan Dieu Street extension to Ngo Quyen Street (about 35%), Ngo Quyen Street extension connecting to the North-South Expressway has completed site clearance and is under construction... At the same time, investment is being made to renovate and upgrade central roads such as Phan Dinh Phung, Le Duan, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai...

Ky Anh Town is a locality with a strategic location and many advantages in economic development, identified by the Provincial Planning as the core of the Southern urban center associated with the Vung Ang Economic Zone and neighboring areas. Therefore, after the Provincial Planning is approved, concretizing the planning is a key and regular task of the locality. Currently, Ky Anh Town is focusing on reviewing, adjusting, and establishing new zoning plans, detailed plans; locally adjusting the General Planning of the town to 2035 in accordance with the Provincial Planning.

At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to promote investment in industrial parks and clusters; mobilize resources to focus on building synchronous infrastructure, especially the key transport system associated with the construction of Vung Ang Economic Zone; promote economic restructuring towards increasing the proportion of processing industry, small-scale industry, trade, services and tourism, and promote the advantages of being an industrial center, seaport, and logistics in the area...

Ky Anh Town is identified by the Provincial Planning as the core of the Southern Urban Center associated with Vung Ang Economic Zone and neighboring areas.

Of the four key economic sectors that the Provincial Planning has oriented to create breakthrough development, the Department of Industry and Trade “presides” over two sectors, including steel industry, post-steel manufacturing, electricity production and services, and logistics. Therefore, closely following the planning direction, each task and plan is clearly outlined by the unit for implementation.

Mr. Hoang Van Quang - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: To gradually implement the planning, the department has reviewed national sectoral planning, proposed to amend inappropriate provincial planning contents and commented on related sectoral planning in line with the provincial planning; developed a plan to implement the industrial cluster development plan according to the roadmap set out by the provincial planning; advised on integrating the electricity development plan in the province into the plan to implement the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 in line with the national electricity planning VIII...

At the same time, the industry and trade sector focuses on developing the province's key industrial products, urging the acceleration of the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant project, creating conditions for Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation to invest in increasing capacity; proposing policies to support export development and logistics...

The

Steel industry, post-steel manufacturing, and electricity production are among the four key industries creating breakthrough development and realizing the Provincial Planning goals.

Identifying investment promotion as a key task in realizing the planning, creating resources for rapid and sustainable development, provincial leaders and related departments and branches have been active and determined in promoting activities, promoting the province's potential and advantages and bringing large-scale projects to Ha Tinh.

The Bac Thach Ha Industrial Park infrastructure investment and business project with a total capital of nearly 1,600 billion VND invested by Vietnam Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP) was approved in principle by the Prime Minister as one of the clear results of those efforts. This is also the project that signed a memorandum of understanding at the conference to announce the Provincial Planning and promote investment.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, among the projects signed a memorandum of understanding at the conference, so far 3 projects have been approved for investment policy and 30 projects are undergoing procedures to submit the policy.

At the same time, focus on advising and effectively implementing socio-economic development breakthroughs; building a synchronous infrastructure system; mobilizing all resources to realize the Provincial Planning. The Department of Planning and Investment has also focused on completing the draft plan to implement the Provincial Planning, and is currently seeking comments from ministries and sectors before submitting it to the Prime Minister for approval".
