According to Tom's Guide , starting with the most familiar name, Apple will not keep any basic iPhone model launched for 3 years. That means the iPhone 12 may end its journey from next September and be replaced by the iPhone 13 with the expected price lower than the current one.
The other two products that are likely to be dropped are the iPhone 14 Pro models, including the most powerful iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is not because of quality issues, but because Apple often drops Pro models after a year of sale even if they are selling very well thanks to their top-notch features.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the standard iPhone 14 continues to exist, and Apple could cut the price by $100, as the company typically does. If that happens, the iPhone 14 would become a $699 smartphone and continue to be a powerful weapon for Apple to attract customers to the company’s ecosystem.
The question is what will happen to the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 13 mini after the launch of the iPhone 15 series. There's a good chance the iPhone 13 mini will be dropped from the lineup - a point that makes sense given that the iPhone mini hasn't sold well in years, and the iPhone 12 mini itself was dropped two years after its release.
The only reason Apple would keep the iPhone 13 mini around for longer is if it drops the price to $499 (assuming the usual $100 discount) and makes it one of the few options for small-phone enthusiasts. Otherwise, there’s no reason to keep the iPhone 13 mini around for another year.
The fate of the iPhone 14 Plus is harder to determine, as this is the first time Apple has offered a Plus phone. However, with the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max arriving in the fall, a third 6.7-inch phone seems unnecessary. Plus, cutting the price of the iPhone 14 Plus by $100 would put it at the same starting price as the iPhone 15. As a result, Apple could cause a lot of confusion by cutting the price of the iPhone 14 Plus.
