From October 21-23, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Norwegian pavilion returned to the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE2024) organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
This year, eight leading Norwegian companies came together to showcase groundbreaking innovations and sustainable solutions driving green transformation in different sectors.
As a country committed to a low-emissions future, Norway’s contributions to green and sustainable technology will be prominently displayed at the Pavilion, giving visitors an insight into the future of environmentally responsible business and the role of business in the overall efforts towards green goals.
In her opening speech at the Norwegian pavilion at the exhibition, Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam Hilde Solbakken shared: “We are proud to introduce to you an excellent team of Norwegian companies at the forefront of the green economy, the ‘leaders’ in industries that are important for economic growth and environmental protection: shipbuilding, energy, paint and coatings, fertilizers and the circular economy. They are Jotun, Vard, Yara, Eagles Technology, Equinor, UMOE Advanced Composites, DNV and C-Loop".

"By visiting our booth, you will learn more about the activities of Norwegian companies as well as their relationships with Vietnamese partners in promoting sustainable values and actively contributing to Vietnam's economic growth and transition to a greener future," said Ambassador Hilde Solbakken.
At the event, Director of the Norwegian Embassy's Chamber of Commerce, Commercial Counselor Karin Greve-Isdahl said that Norwegian industries have long been recognized for prioritizing sustainability, a commitment that is clearly demonstrated by all Norwegian companies participating in the exhibition.
“They demonstrate that innovation, economic growth and environmental protection are complementary and together can drive the transition to a low-emission economy,” said Greve-Isdahl.
Whether already operating in Vietnam or still exploring the promising market, Norwegian companies are committed to contributing to the green economy through their innovative solutions and technologies; affirming that a greener and more sustainable future is not only possible but also profitable.
At the Norwegian pavilion, visitors can explore the models and initiatives on display, interact, chat with company representatives, learn why Norwegian companies are considered pioneers in green technology and can ensure the parallel of growth and sustainability.
