On the afternoon of September 12, speaking with a reporter from Cong Thuong Newspaper, Ms. Pham Khanh Quyen - President of the Red Cross Society of Buon Ma Thuot City - said that starting from September 10, people have been busy bringing goods to gather at 02 Truong Chinh and 03 Nguyen Dinh Chieu (Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province), to send to the 0-dong trucks to transport to the North to support people who are severely affected by storms and floods.

According to Ms. Pham Khanh Quyen, initially, a bus company in Krong Ana district proactively called for goods to be received and transported to the North for free to help people in difficult areas. Therefore, the Red Cross Society of Buon Ma Thuot City reported and asked the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City for approval and received the approval of the government.
“The Association is coordinating and monitoring the routes of the trucks and the receiving points so that the gifts sent by the people will reach the people in the flooded areas. The reception is strictly regulated to only accept goods, not money, and the transportation costs are fully supported by the truck company,” said Ms. Quyen.

At the Dak Lak Provincial Sports Stadium (No. 03 Nguyen Dinh Chieu), starting from noon on September 11, local people have been busy bringing goods to the gathering point, classifying them for easy transportation. Each person has a job, everyone is doing their best, hoping that the goods will soon reach the people in the flooded areas.
Ms. Tran Thi Kieu Van (35 years old, living in Tan Loi ward, Buon Ma Thuot city) shared: "The amount of medicine that people bring to support is a lot, but if we don't divide it into small packages and classify each type of medicine specifically, when the shipments arrive, it will be very difficult to distribute to people, so my sisters and I here sat down and divided it into each type from fever reducers, essential oils, cold medicines... so that when the medicine reaches people, it will be most convenient to use."

For the past few days, Mr. Ho Sy Trang (45 years old, living in Buon Ma Thuot City) has stopped his business, volunteered to share and load necessities onto trucks with the people. While wiping the sweat off his forehead, Mr. Trang said: “The spirit of the people of Dak Lak is so wonderful, the shipments of goods keep coming continuously. Everyone does it out of love for the people of the North, wanting to send a little bit of their hearts to help people ease the difficulties caused by natural disasters.”
Hearing about the volunteer trips, Ms. Le Thi Huyen (57 years old, residing in Buon Ma Thuot City) bought instant noodles and cakes and asked her children and grandchildren to take her to the gathering point in the center of Buon Ma Thuot City at 03 Nguyen Dinh Chieu. “I watched the news on TV and newspapers and couldn’t hold back my tears because I felt so sorry. The people in the North were so severely affected by storms and floods,” Ms. Huyen confided.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hue (36 years old, living in Tu An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city) said that when she heard that the northern provinces were greatly affected by storms and floods, she called on everyone in her family and friends to contribute more than 70 million VND to buy necessities to support people in the northern provinces. "I myself am also a trader, so I went to places that supply goods at wholesale prices to buy cheaply and get the largest quantity and quality. Knowing what I do, the distributors also left them at the original price, so the quantity of goods I bought was very diverse," Ms. Hue shared.
In just 2 days, September 10-11, in Buon Ma Thuot City, there were 13 charity buses running day and night to bring timely support goods to people in the Northern provinces.
Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province confirmed that the unit is proposing that the Provincial Mobilization Committee transfer 1 billion VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to provide relief to people in the North affected by floods.
At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has drafted an open letter to call on people, organizations, agencies, businesses, and officials and civil servants of the province to support people in flood-affected areas.
