The threshold score for admission to the health sector at HIU will be different and must meet the conditions set by the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, the majors of Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy must have a minimum score of 24 points, along with criteria for high school graduation with excellent grades or a graduation score of 8.0 or higher.

Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology majors accept applications from 19.5 points, with the requirement of graduating with a good grade or having a graduation score of 6.5 or higher.

As for the two new trending majors, Nutrition and Public Health, the admission score will be from 18 points or higher, without the pressure of an entrance threshold like other majors in the health sector.

Tran Thuy Tram Quyen - Vice Principal of HIU - said: "HIU's admission method of considering high school transcripts receives applications in batches, the scores for receiving applications in later batches will tend to be equal to or higher than the previous batch, depending on the number of vacant positions. Therefore, with the same admission score, candidates who register early will have a greater advantage because they have a higher chance of getting into university."

When qualified for admission by considering academic records, candidates only need to try to maintain their academic results and pass the high school graduation exam to be officially recognized as admitted. Therefore, candidates who register for early admission by this method can significantly reduce the pressure in the high school graduation exam.

Competitive tuition fees, many valuable scholarships

In 2024, candidates who apply early to HIU will not only increase their chances of being admitted but also have the opportunity to receive a series of valuable scholarships, especially a 100% scholarship for the first semester tuition fee equivalent to 12.5 million VND, applicable to 28 potential majors. New students will study in an international environment but with a preferential tuition fee of only 42.5 million VND/school year.

Some specific majors of HIU's health sector have their own preferential policies. For example, the majors of Medicine and Dentistry are awarded a scholarship of 30 million VND/year, the majors of Traditional Medicine have a scholarship of 10 million VND/year. Specifically applied to these 3 majors, there is also an IELTS scholarship worth 55 million VND/student and an exemption from the admission fee worth 1.2 million VND.

Pharmacy majors are awarded a scholarship of 5 million VND/student, applicable to both Vietnamese and English programs.

The new public health major opening in the 2024-2025 school year will receive a scholarship of 20 million VND, tuition is only 35 million VND/year and will be maintained throughout the entire course.
