Currently, African swine fever is on the rise in many provinces and cities across the country. To prevent African swine fever, a number of large farms and livestock farms in districts such as Nam Sach, Cam Giang, Kinh Mon town... have implemented many disease prevention solutions, determined not to let African swine fever re-emerge. Previously, in 2019, most of these pig farms and livestock farms suffered losses due to African swine fever.

Farm owners are currently "banning" 100%, absolutely not allowing strangers to enter or leave the farm. Vehicles transporting livestock and animal feed must be thoroughly sprayed and disinfected before loading and unloading goods. The pig import and export gates have a disinfection pit with lime powder and are regularly replenished. Disinfection of pig pens and breeding areas is carried out once a day with strong disinfectants and lime powder. Pig farms are always kept dry and airy, and flies and mosquitoes are sprayed periodically. At the same time, workers are assigned to each row of pens, closely monitoring the pig herd to promptly handle any outbreaks. Currently, African swine fever is occurring in 318 communes in 86 districts in 22 provinces and cities nationwide. Among them are provinces bordering Hai Duong such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong... Therefore, the risk of outbreaks is very high in old outbreak areas and high-risk areas.
