Double valedictorian of block A00 and evaluation of thinking about choosing non-public schools

Vu Dinh Thai (former student of class 12A1, Tay Thuy Anh High School, Thai Binh province) achieved 29.6/30 points in block A00 (math, physics, chemistry combination), is the national valedictorian of this block.

Notably, Thai also led with 96.43/100 points in the thinking assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

With the results of the thinking assessment test, Thai was admitted early to Hanoi University of Science and Technology and won a 100% scholarship from FPT University.

Dinh Thai chose to register his first choice for information technology at FPT University. His second choice was computer science at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and his third choice was medicine at Hanoi Medical University.

Vu Dinh Thai has a good chance of being admitted as he wished because his name is on the early admission list.

It is known that Thai received a full scholarship of 100% tuition exemption for 4 years at FPT University, estimated at 350 million VND. This is one of the reasons for the decision of the male valedictorian because he wants to reduce the tuition burden for his family.

Thai is the second child in a family in a coastal district of Thai Binh. His mother was a teacher and died when he was in 7th grade. The family's economy depends on the fields and his father's part-time job, so they are not well off.

Since childhood, the male student has always tried to study by himself, not taking extra classes. To prepare for the upcoming journey, Thai will improve his communication skills, teamwork and learn English.

Besides Vu Dinh Thai, Nghiem Xuan Hai Anh is also a bright name chosen to enter FPT University.

Hai Anh scored a "hat-trick" of being the valedictorian of three blocks A00, A01, D07 at Lien Ha High School, Hanoi. The male student led the whole school with a total score of 28.9 - 27.75 - 27.75 for each block. In addition, he has also been an excellent student for many years, winning second prize in the City-level Physics Competition for Excellent Students in the 2023-2024 school year.

She decided to study business administration at VinUni University. This was her wish, Phuong Linh was eligible for early admission, receiving a 75% tuition waiver scholarship from the school (through academic records, essays, interviews), before taking the high school graduation exam.

With outstanding English skills, Phuong Linh applied to several international universities such as VinUni, Swinburne, BUV...

In addition, I was also admitted early to the major in logistics and supply chain management at the Foreign Trade University.

Top student of block C00 chooses to study at provincial school

Born into a Thai ethnic family in Quy Chau district (Nghe An), although her family's conditions were still difficult, Luong Thi Hoai Thu excelled by becoming one of 19 valedictorians of block C00 (combined literature, history, geography) nationwide.

Having long nurtured the dream of becoming a teacher, Hoai Thu plans to enroll in the Primary Education major at Vinh University.

The Thai ethnic girl hopes to become a good teacher to bring knowledge to the villages. Moreover, studying pedagogy is supported with tuition fees, so Thu hopes to be able to relieve some of the economic pressure on her parents.

Valedictorian chooses prestigious school

Besides the above faces, there are also many valedictorians who choose to study at prestigious universities.

The valedictorian of block A01 (math, physics, chemistry) in 2024 is Nguyen Hao Thien, a former student of class 12E1 at Le Thanh Tong Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City) with a total score of 29.6. In which, the scores for the subjects are 9.8 - 10 - 9.8 points respectively.

Hao Thien said he only registered for 2 wishes based on his graduation exam scores. Wish 1 is to study computer science at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Wish 2 is to study computer science at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The male student shared that he felt a bit worried because the computer science program of the two schools was quite heavy. Therefore, during this time, Hao Thien will spend a lot of time learning about the program in advance.

Together with being the valedictorian of the 2024 high school graduation exam (5 subjects) and the valedictorian of block C00 , Dinh Thi Bich Ngoc, a former student of Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted (Ninh Binh) wishes to become a foreign language teacher.

Bich Ngoc applied for early admission to 7 universities including: Foreign Language University (Hanoi National University), Hanoi Pedagogical University, Foreign Trade University, Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi Law University, National Economics University and Academy of Journalism and Communication and was admitted early to 5/7 schools.

However, to become a foreign language teacher in the future, Ngoc chose to prioritize the English pedagogy major at the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Nguyen Ha Nhi, former class 12D1, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School, Long Bien District, Hanoi became the valedictorian of this year's high school graduation exam , with the same score as Dinh Thi Ngoc Bich (57.85 points).

My first choice is literature pedagogy, Hanoi Pedagogical University.

The valedictorian of block B00 (math, chemistry, biology combination) nationwide in 2024 is Nguyen Dang Linh Chi (former 12th grade chemistry student, Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong).

Linh Chi registered 4 university admission wishes in 2024, in which wish 1 is to enter the medical faculty of Hanoi Medical University. The other wishes are: dentistry, Hanoi Medical University, pharmacy, Hanoi University of Pharmacy, international economics, National Economics University.

Linh Chi hopes to be admitted to the first choice of Medicine at Hanoi Medical University.
