Orientation of propaganda information, fighting against wrong views

Presenting the Summary Report on the results of coordination between the Public Security Forces and the commanding, managing agencies and press agencies, Major General Dang Hong Duc, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, said that in recent times, the commanding, managing agencies and press agencies have continued to effectively direct and participate in the work of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety, promptly producing and publishing over 3,300 news and articles on the results of the work of fighting and preventing crime by the Public Security Forces.

In addition, it has directed the regulation and orientation of information and propaganda, especially for events and incidents related to security and order that are of special interest to public opinion, ensuring the source and quantity of information, not allowing hostile, reactionary, opposing forces, and political opportunists to take advantage of propaganda and distortion; typically, news and articles related to the process of arresting and trying subjects involved in the terrorist attack in Dak Lak province; trials of corruption and negative cases... Hundreds of journalists and reporters, regardless of difficulties and dangers, have worked side by side with the police force to promptly detect, report, provide, and recommend handling of many incidents, negative behaviors, types of crimes, and violations of the law.

Press and television agencies continued to make important contributions in propagating and mobilizing the masses to actively participate in the movement of the entire people to protect national security, implement the Party and State's policies and laws on ensuring security and order, produce nearly 4,500 news articles about good people and good deeds, and spread positive information about the People's Public Security Forces and the work of ensuring security and order, "serving the people".

The Ministry of Public Security's Steering Committee 35 actively coordinated with news agencies and press agencies in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, propagating and refuting hostile and erroneous viewpoints and toxic information; many press agencies, such as Vietnam Television, People's Army Newspaper, and People's Public Security Newspaper, etc., opened columns and pages to publish many articles and reports on the plots, methods and tricks of hostile forces and various types of crimes, so that social classes and the masses can identify them and contribute to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of maintaining political security and socio-economic development.

According to Major General Dang Hong Duc, the functional units of the Ministry of Public Security have recently done a good job of coordinating, advising, and supporting the command and management agencies and the news and press agencies to do a good job of protecting internal political security, protecting state secrets, and ensuring information and communication security. At the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh, on behalf of the press force nationwide, congratulated Minister Luong Tam Quang on chairing the press meeting for the first time in his new position and role; and shared about the close and effective coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the press force, from the perspective of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the main press agency.
