Many key industrial products have high growth

In the first 3 months of 2025, although it coincided with the extended New Year and Lunar New Year holidays of 2025, with a significant increase in the number of orders signed since the end of 2024, businesses in the province focused on boosting production right after the holidays. Thanks to that, the province's industrial sector in the first quarter of 2025 still maintained a fairly high growth rate; in which many key industrial products achieved high growth rates compared to the same period last year.

According to the Provincial Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2025, the industrial and construction sectors accounted for a large proportion of the economy, continuing to maintain a fairly high growth rate; the industrial sector played a leading role with a first quarter growth rate of 12.84% over the same period last year. In the industrial sector, the processing and manufacturing industry was recognized as the main growth driver with an increase of 14.15%. Some industries with high growth, making important contributions to the overall growth of the industrial sector in the province were the production of electronic products, computers and optical products; production of rubber and plastic products; production of electrical equipment... with an increase of 20% to approximately 40% over the same quarter of 2024. It is estimated that in the first quarter of 2025, the industrial production index of the whole province increased by 17.9% over the same period last year; Most of the province's main industrial products achieved impressive growth compared to the same period last year, such as: electric wires of all kinds increased by 20.1%; electronic components and equipment increased by 29.1%; beer increased by 31%; motorbikes increased by 16.2%; cement and clinker increased by 6.5%...

The relatively good growth of major industrial products has had a positive impact on the labor utilization index as well as the consumption index of the entire processing and manufacturing industry in the province. Statistics show that in the first quarter of 2025, the consumption index of the entire processing and manufacturing industry increased by 19.24% over the same period last year. Some industries with high consumption indexes compared to the same period last year include: food production and processing; production of rubber and plastic products; metal production; production of electronic products, computers and optical products; production of electrical equipment; textiles; production of motor vehicles... with an increase of 15% to over 300%. In addition, the number of employees working in industrial enterprises at the end of March 2025 also increased sharply with an increase of 1.82% over the previous month and an increase of 0.98% over the same period last year. This shows that the boosted industrial production activities have increased the demand for recruitment and employment of labor in industrial enterprises.

At Sumi Vietnam Wiring System Co., Ltd. (Dong Van II Industrial Park, Duy Tien Town), in the first quarter of 2025, the company's product consumption output increased by about 25% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 and increased by approximately 35% compared to the same period in 2024. Thanks to that, for about a year now, Sumi Vietnam's consumption output has always achieved positive growth continuously every month with an increase of 7-10%. In the first 3 months of 2025 alone, consumption output grew by an average of nearly 10%/month.

Similar to Sumi Vietnam, according to the survey results of business trends of enterprises in the supporting, processing and manufacturing industries in the first quarter of 2025, 25.81% of enterprises assessed that the production and business situation in the first quarter was better than in the fourth quarter of 2024; 50% of enterprises assessed that production and business activities were stable. Forecasting that in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the first quarter, 51.61% of surveyed enterprises said that the production and business situation would improve; 37.1% of enterprises said that the production and business situation remained stable. Some major processing and manufacturing industries with forecasted improving trends include: beverage production; garment production; production of electronic products, computers and optical products; Production of electrical equipment... Mr. Yu Pin Li, Director of Kangyin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (Chau Son Industrial Park, Phu Ly City) said: As an enterprise specializing in the production of electronic equipment for export to the US, India, Japan, and Europe markets, in 2024, Kangyin Electronic Technology had a good development compared to 2023 with total export output increasing by approximately 20% compared to 2023. Based on the achieved results, in 2025, we will continue to implement solutions to attract and retain employees such as improving salaries, bonuses, and welfare regimes for employees, ensuring that they are higher than the average of enterprises in the region; promoting the recruitment of more workers and expanding production lines. With new orders meeting production requirements until the third quarter of 2025, Kangyin Electronic Technology is confident of achieving its 2025 target of total sales volume increasing by 20% compared to 2024.

In 2025, Ha Nam sets a target of economic growth of 10.45%; industrial production value reaches over VND 280,700 billion, an increase of 13.1% compared to 2024. To achieve the set target, the province is continuing to direct the implementation of Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated September 15, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting industrial development, focusing on high-tech industry, supporting industry, processing, manufacturing and services serving industrial development towards modernity and sustainability in the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. Along with that, paying attention to effectively implementing Resolution No. 58/NQ-CP dated April 21, 2023 of the Government on a number of key policies and solutions to support businesses to proactively adapt, recover quickly and develop sustainably by 2025; Focus on removing difficulties for businesses, maintain effective implementation of the province's 10 commitments to investors; accelerate the implementation of the supporting industry development program of Ha Nam province for the period 2021-2025; pay attention to building infrastructure, attracting investment, improving the operational efficiency of industrial parks and clusters; effectively deploy the industrial cluster development plan in the area; promote the synchronous implementation of solutions to promote the development of supporting, processing, manufacturing, and high-tech industries; accelerate the progress of social infrastructure projects, services serving the operations of industrial parks such as social housing, worker housing, expert housing, schools, hospitals, etc. to create conditions for workers to stabilize their lives, feel secure in their attachment to businesses and Ha Nam province.
