Over the past years, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Tra Vinh province has chaired and coordinated with relevant departments, branches and units to organize many propaganda activities among the Khmer ethnic people on policies, gender equality, early marriage, consanguineous marriage as well as support to solve urgent problems of women and children.

Specifically, from 2014 to present, 74 propaganda sessions on ethnic policies (including gender equality content) have been organized. There were 9,130 delegates including dignitaries, monks, and Khmer Theravada Buddhist pagoda management boards attending.
Organized 54 propaganda sessions on gender equality. There were 4,950 delegates who were Khmer ethnic people attending.
69 propaganda sessions were organized to reduce child marriage and incestuous marriage, emphasizing that child marriage and incestuous marriage seriously affect the health and rights of girls, young girls, women, and population quality. There were 6,890 delegates who were students and Khmer ethnic people in attendance.

According to the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Tra Vinh province, in the process of propagating policies to the Khmer ethnic people, gender equality, early marriage, consanguineous marriage as well as supporting the resolution of urgent issues of women and children, there is a lot of support from prestigious people in ethnic minorities.
The Ethnic Minority Committee of Tra Vinh province said that prestigious people among ethnic minorities not only act as a bridge between the government and the people, helping to convey the policies of the Party and State to the community, but also actively participate in economic, cultural and social development activities, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of Khmer women, mobilizing changes in thinking and working methods, contributing to gender equality.
